Southern Lord's Summer Label Package Tour Routing Confirmed

The final details and routing for the previously-announced Southern Lord Summer package tour have been confirmed today. The tour is set to bring some of the label's newest and most promising acts as well as some heavy veterans on the eclectic but lethal roster together for a near month-long trek across the face of America. The tour is a true DIY undertaking that was booked by Southern Lord owner Greg Anderson himself.

The core acts for the tour include the Ontario-based hardcore/rock outfit BURNING LOVE (featuring ex-Cursed vocalist), dark lords of Swedish crustMARTYRDOD, Milwaukee's metal/hardcore crossover outfit ENABLER and Seattle's d-beat/death-infused hardcore bastards BLACK BREATHheadlining the full tour. All four bands have brand new albums either already out or set to be unleashed based around the tour. 

Special guests POISON IDEA, NOOTHGRUSH, PELICAN, POWER TRIP, WILD//TRIBE, DEAD IN THE DIRT, THE SECRET and more will also infiltrate the routing, each with one or more regional performances throughout the debauchery-ridden escapade, and Southern Lord will also host a label showcase in Pomona, California with details to be announced in the coming weeks.

Southern Lord announces summer tour package

Official press release:

Southern Lord this week confirms a devastating label tour package for this June and July, bringing some of the label's newest and most promising acts as well as some major players on the eclectic but lethal roster together for a near month-long trek across the face of America.

Organized and booked by Southern Lord founder Greg Anderson, the core acts for the tour include the Ontario-based hardcore/rock outfit Burning Love (featuring ex-Cursed vocalist), the dark lords of Swedish crust Martyrdod making their debut U.S. appearance, Milwaukee's punk/hardcore crossover outfit Enabler and Seattle's powerhouse d-beat/death-infused hardcore bastards Black Breath. Special additional performances from Poison Idea, Noothgrush, Pelican, Powertrip, Wild/Tribe, Dead In The Dirt, The Secret, All Pigs Must Dies and more will join some of the shows regionally as well.

The final routing is still being plotted and finalized, and a fully confirmed itinerary will be publicized in the next two weeks as it all takes shape.


Let us just say, we are fucking stoked to be a part of this. Also, some of you may notice that this is NOT Martyrdod's debut U.S. appearance, but they kick ass and we're happy to have them back!

We are back from our short tour and start recording with our new guitarist and producer Greg Thomas (Misery Signals, Shai Hulud, The Risk Taken). Drum tracking starts today with Shane Hotchstetler @ Howl Street Recordings. Greg's studio Silver Bullet has been temporarily relocated from Burlington CT to Fuck City in Milwaukee and guitar, bass, and vocal tracking will take place there. We will then be mixing and editing at Silver Bullet Studios out in Burlington CT. Artwork is being handled by Jimpaler (who has done several shirt designs as well as the art for "Year One" and "War Begins With You". Release info will be announced shortly.
